A Nigerian lady has shared a church member’s testimony about how a creditor allegedly forgave her ₦8.45 million debt after she struggled to repay a ₦10 million loan for her business in Idumota, Lagos. According to the lady, the woman had been battling financial difficulties since borrowing the money and managed to repay only ₦1.5 million within a year. Three months ago, the creditor reportedly began demanding the outstanding ₦8.5 million and threatened to lock up her shop if she failed to pay.
Despite trying to raise the money, the woman struggled to meet his demands. Last Monday, she reportedly knelt down and prayed to God for help. On Friday, she arrived at her shop and was surprised to see the creditor show up unannounced. Although she was initially scared, the man asked whether she had ₦50,000 in her account. When she confirmed that it was all she had, he asked her to transfer the money and forget about the remaining ₦8.45 million.
The lady recounted the creditor’s unexpected response, explaining that he told the woman to stop worrying about the debt and take care of herself. The woman reportedly asked him again whether he truly meant she no longer had to repay the balance, and he confirmed that the debt was forgiven. After receiving the ₦50,000 transfer, the man left, leaving her surprised by the unexpected turn of events.
