What are the things I should look out for when dealing with car dealers at akala express in ibadan. Anyone that's any sort of experience buying a car from those dealers at akala express can pls share their experiences. Thanks

It has its side effects too and can do a lot of damage. Please if you’re a user of any of these cars, or you have experience, i need you to pitch in.

If you’re a user, what is the maintenance cost like and how do you compensate for the premium level fuel needed. I’m looking to get a GLC 43 AMG… But I’m seeing a lot of issues while doing my research.

The car on my mind is lexus, Corolla or Camry. Which is more reliable, low consuming of petrol, easy to maintain, availability of spare parts and cheap spare parts. Other suggestions are also welcome. Please I intend to drive the car for at least in the next 10 years before I think of changing it.

Thank you very much for your contributions. Budget 12m

Preferred brand or model? Minimum year?

Maximum acceptable mileage? Sedan or SUV? Personal use or resale? Is the budget for the car only, or including shipping? For example, if someone says: “I want a 2019–2021 sedan, petrol or hybrid, below 100,000 km, Toyota/Honda preferred, and my vehicle budget is around $6,000.”

Now the requirement is much clearer. This also saves time for both the buyer and the sourcing company.

For Nigerian dealers importing from China, how do your customers normally give you their requirements? Budget first, or specific model first?

But Nigerian buyers also have very practical concerns: * Spare parts * Resale value * Mechanics who understand the car * Long-term reliability * Charging for EVs * Battery replacement cost This is why I do not think there is one answer for everyone. For someone using the car personally in Lagos or Abuja, a newer Chinese hybrid may make sense.

For a dealer who is more concerned about resale speed, Toyota may still be easier.

We are currently seeing more Nigerian buyers asking about Chinese EVs, PHEVs and hybrids directly from China, so I am curious: If you had the same budget today, would you choose a newer Chinese car or an older Toyota/Lexus?

And why? Interested to hear the experience of people already driving Chinese cars in Nigeria.
