NCWS Celebrates First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at 66, Hails Her Commitment to Women, Children and Families

The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), Nigeria, has felicitated the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its Grand Patron, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on the occasion of her birthday.

In a goodwill message signed by the National President of NCWS, Princess Edna D.D. Azura (Kwatam Mutaku), the Council described Senator Tinubu as a compassionate woman whose commitment to the wellbeing of women, children and families continues to make a meaningful impact across the country.

The NCWS expressed profound appreciation for the First Lady’s love, encouragement and support for the Council, noting that her confidence in its activities has remained a source of motivation as it advances the cause of women, supports vulnerable members of society and contributes to national development.

The Council also noted the significance of Senator Tinubu’s birthday falling on September 21, which is observed globally as the International Day of Peace. According to NCWS, the coincidence serves as a beautiful reminder of the values of peace, compassion, service and humanity.

“Your life of service reminds us that leadership is not only about the positions we occupy, but also about the lives we touch, the hope we inspire and the difference we make in the lives of others,” the message stated.

NCWS further celebrated Senator Tinubu’s dedication to public service, describing her place in the hearts of Nigerian women as deeply cherished and affirming that the Council was honoured to celebrate her with love, gratitude and prayers.

The organisation prayed for God’s continued blessings, grace, wisdom, strength, good health and many more fulfilling years for the First Lady. It also prayed that her new year would bring renewed joy, peace and fulfilment as she continues her service to Nigeria and humanity.

“Happy Birthday, Our Dear Mother. May your life continue to shine brightly, and may the years ahead be filled with God’s goodness, favour and peace,” the NCWS President concluded.
