Imagine travelling all the way to a woman’s village to pay her bride price… only to sleep with her,
Imagine travelling all the way to a woman’s village to pay her bride price… only to sleep with her, return abroad, and immediately send a message saying they should go and collect the dowry back. 💔
You never intended to marry her.
And when the poor girl starts reaching out, asking, “What is happening? Why are you doing this?”
Your response?
“Shebi you were playing hard to get? I had to go that far to get you and sleep with you.”
What kind of wickedness is this?
Because honestly, if somebody did this to your sister, how would you feel?
That a woman is taking her time before saying yes to you does not mean she is playing hard to get.
Maybe she’s thinking.
Maybe she’s being careful.
Maybe she’s simply trying to answer one of the most important questions of her life:
“God, is this really the right person for me?”
And that should not be something anyone is punished for.
I heard this gist and, honestly, it broke my heart because the girl in question is reportedly left completely broken by what happened.
And please, abroad men, I feel like this is becoming too common with some of you people.
If a woman is taking too long to say yes and you’re not comfortable waiting, please move on.
Find someone who is willing to be with you.
Find someone who chooses you without hesitation.
But please, don’t go into a woman’s life with the intention of getting what you want and then leave her emotionally damaged because you never intended to stay.
You can walk away from someone without destroying them.
You can be rejected without retaliating.
And you can accept that someone simply isn’t ready for you.
No woman owes you intimacy because you travelled far, spent money, paid a bride price, or went through the trouble of pursuing her.
If you know you don't genuinely want to marry her, don't create the impression that you do just to get close to her.
Because there are consequences when you treat someone’s emotions like a game.
W!ckedn£ss dey oo. 💔
But let’s talk about it:
Was the man simply angry because she “played hard to get,” or was what he did completely unacceptable from the beginning?
And if this happened to your sister, what would you do?
