Have you met an entitled and shameless person before?

It’s one thing to be br0ke. It’s another to be shamelessly entitled to other people’s effects and belongings while also being audacious about it.

So, I liked how this guy reacted, but not entirely.

More than signing an agreement pact with yourself not to encourage this br0ke culture that is defaming Nigerian women all over the world, we need to start spelling it out to them.

If a girl is moving mad, don’t be the bigger person.

Tell her she is shameless.

Tell her to go and meet her father.

Or better still... She’s now an adult. She can let the old man rest now and go and find a job that will feed her at the very least.

Put them in their places, guys!

You need food? Get it from your father or go and work for it.

You need money? Go work for it. You're not disabled.

You want foodstuff? Buy your own.

See this one now, threatening to not come back 😡...
As what abeg?
His kitchen is supposed to be a supermarket?
And you're a high-profile customer?

DELUSIONAL!

Listen, that someone is kind enough to feed you does not mean their kitchen has become your personal store.

And guys, I'm deliberately being like this because we cannot keep pampering this behaviour and then complain when people outside Nigeria form a certain image of Nigerian women.

The image will not repair itself.

As Nigerians, we have to collectively reject this ev1l mentality.

Stop seeing another person’s money and immediately calculating what you can collect from it.

Stop turning a man’s generosity into an obligation.

Stop getting angry because someone refused to give you something that belongs to them.

You are an adult. Work.

Nobody is saying you cannot receive help. We are saying help is not your right.

And if someone feeds you, say thank you and go home.

You don't eat their food and then start asking for the contents of their kitchen.

That is shamelessness.

And guys, again, don't just block them.

Say it out loud:

“Girl, you are moving mad. Go and work for what you need.”

By the time she hears that line like 7 times in a week, from about 7 different guys, she should pinch herself.

That is where we are right now.

Mayowa Adebajo.
