I recently attended the Bole Festival 2026, held at Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, and honestly, it was a beautiful experience.
This year’s edition was themed “A Decade of Fire”, celebrating 10 years of the Bole Festival and the culture, food, music and entertainment that have continued to bring people together.
From the moment I got to the venue, there was already so much energy everywhere. There were beautiful cultural displays, live performances, music, dancing, traditional outfits, entertainment and, of course, plenty of food.
The atmosphere was especially lively as people gathered around the stage to enjoy the performances. I also captured some beautiful moments from the event, including the cultural performances and the crowd enjoying themselves.
One thing I really enjoyed was seeing how food and culture were brought together. Bole is such an important part of the food culture in Rivers State, and the festival gives people an opportunity to experience it alongside music, entertainment and other activities.
I attended on the last day, and it was definitely a memorable experience. There was so much excitement, with people singing, dancing, taking pictures and simply enjoying themselves. I captured some of my favourite moments on camera and put them together in a video.
Have you attended Bole Festival before? What was your experience like? And for those who haven't attended, would you like to experience it someday?
