My Neighbour Left His Generator On For 3 Days Non-stop In Ikono - What I Did Nex

I live in a small compound in Ikono. We are 4 tenants sharing one small yard.

Last week, light did not come for 4 days. You know how PHCN does in Ikono.

My neighbour at the back flat has a big Tiger generator. He put it on since Monday morning and did not off it till Wednesday night. Even when he was sleeping, the generator was shouting GBIM GBIM in my ear.

I could not sleep, I could not read, my baby could not sleep. I knocked on his door on Tuesday to beg him to off it at night. He said "If you no fit bear am, you go buy your own."

I was very angry.

On Wednesday evening, around 9pm, I was outside pressing my phone when his generator suddenly went off. Everywhere became silent. I looked, his wire had cut from the generator.

He came outside with torch and was looking for what happened. He did not see me.

I quickly carried my chair and went inside. I did not tell him what happened.

He stayed without light for 2 days before he could fix the wire.

I know what I did was bad, but I finally slept well for 2 nights.

Since then he has been offing his generator by 10pm every night. Now we have peace in the compound.

Please, if you have a generator in a small compound, remember your neighbours. Not everybody has the money to buy their own.
